There are some very good blogs around talking about the use of social media and the web in not only keeping up to date, but improved learning and processes in healthcare using web 2.0
Recently I have been involved in some art due to my remoteness via contacts made through the social media sites Twitter and Stumbleupon.
Now I haven’t wielded a brush or pencil. My ability in this area is so bad that it is impossible to tell that my stick people are stick people.
Through Twitter I made the association of “Mr Onthemoon“.
If you read Crikey you will know his firstdogonthemoon cartoons. Over the Christmas break he took the photo on my profile and changed it into the picture below.
I have written before about his mammoth effort of 90 avatars in 90 hours.
Contact with artist Nicole Terry through Stumbleupon led to the selection of one of my desert photos to be transformed into this wonderful piece of fractal art below.
If you look closely you can see Nicole’s face in the right hand side (as you look at it) of the picture. Click on the picture to be taken to a larger image.
I love it. To me it has taken a desert landscape and added a night of full moon, shooting stars, spirits of 60 000 years and the space and quiet that fills you when lying under the stars in your swag.
Anyway, that’s too much from me! Take a good look at her site.
