The Australian Government is currently undertaking consultation for Australian health reforms. As well as Ministers floating around the country listening to group discussions at hospitals there are a number of ways you can contribute.
They have a blog you can comment on and the ability to share your stories which may appear on their website. They even have a twitter account.
It seems they are trying new ways (for a government) of connecting with the public.
But that’s not all. This arrived in my email inbox:
The Health Reform Taskforce in the Department of Health and Ageing is currently consulting the public and health professionals regarding health reform.
Since part of this consultation is occurring online, via www.yourHealth.gov.au, we are interested in understanding how we can best inform and invite Australian bloggers and their audiences to participate in this consultation process. The findings might also guide future Departmental consultations.
We would appreciate it if you spent ten minutes completing the linked online survey. The survey will remain open for two weeks, until 11pm Friday 9 October.
The information and opinions you provide will be used only for research purposes. Responses to this survey are completely confidential. Individual responses will not be reported. Any comments you make will not be linked to you personally, but will be reported as a group. We may share the final report with other Australian government agencies interested in contacting bloggers.
Alternatively, we may decide to make the final report publicly available in which case your confidentiality will be maintained and, if your views are reflected in the report, they will presented in such a way that your identity will not be able to be ascertained by any third party.
